With video stores having become a thing of the past, it’s no surprise to learn that the library has become the go-to place to pick up a DVD. As a result, it’s interesting to see just what movies most captured the attention of the local community. Unsurprisingly, most of the big blockbuster hits make appearances, though often not near the top. The absolute most popular movies are mostly made up of Oscar nominees, which are then followed up by films people probably missed at the multiplex. The one surprising exception being the live-action remake of “Beauty and the Beast”, a film that people apparently just could not get enough of. On the other hand, people do seem to have tired of the “Transformers” franchise, with the latest entry failing to connect with audiences either in theaters or in the library, as evidenced by it’s not even managing to make it onto the list.
