Everyone knows that the library is a great place to come for all of the latest books, many know about our large selection of movies, and some know that you can check out a selection of the latest albums and video games, but did you know that we have a growing assortment of tech items that you can borrow as well? Located near the DVD’s, these items are available by grabbing the card for the one you want and bringing it to the front desk, and can be loaned for a period of 1 week.

The following products are currently available:

WIFI HOTSPOTS

These handy little devices allow you to access the internet wherever you go! Whether you need to get some work done while enjoying a beautiful day outside, or you don’t want to bother activating your home internet for a quick visit, this is a convenient and hassle-free way to stay connected.

BLU-RAY PLAYERS

Is the movie you want to watch available on blu-ray, but you only have a DVD player at home? Well then just borrow a blu-ray player! Simply hook it up to power, plug it into your TV using the included HDMI cable, and start watching your favorite films in stunning quality!

ROKU PLAYERS

Did you want to watch your favorite Netflix show on your TV, but you don’t have any compatible devices with you at the shore? Just plug this handy little box into power, hook it up to your TV with the included HDMI cable, sign in with your Netflix account (or use your Hulu or YouTube accounts), and start streaming! In addition, you can use your library card to access the pre-installed Hoopla and Kanopy apps, or watch even more free content on the variety of apps we have installed, like Crackle, TubiTV, or CBSNews.

In addition to these, we have several more loanable tech devices arriving soon. Over the next few months you can expect to see portable action cameras, air quality testers, scientific calculators, and power monitors.
