One of our favorite parts of the year is being able to bring a variety of interesting speakers to town to talk to all of you about a wide range of topics. We can guarantee that this summer will be no different, and we are thrilled to announce that we have 4 New York Times bestselling authors joining us in July!
On July 11, local favorites Lisa Scottoline and her daughter Francesca Serritella will be here to discuss their new book, I See Life Through Rosé-Colored Glasses, which releases the day before. The book features a collection of humorous stories about life that they write for their Philadelphia Inquirer column, “Chick Wit.” Lisa is also known for her many bestselling novels, including her latest, After Anna, and Edgar Award winner Final Appeal, among many others.
Narrative nonfiction author Erik Larson will join us for an event on July 18. This University of Pennsylvania graduate has written several bestselling and beloved books including In The Garden of Beasts, Dead Wake, and The Devil in the White City, which is soon to be a major motion picture starring Leonard DiCaprio. He has also been featured in publications including The Wall Street Journal, TIME, and The New Yorker.
Mystery novelist J.A. Jance will be speaking on July 25. She is the author of more than 50 novels, broken into 4 popular series featuring J.P. Beaumont, Joanna Brady, Ali Reynolds, and the Walker family. Jance will discuss her many popular characters, as well as her most recent book, Duel to the Death, featuring Ali Reynolds.
