With back-to-school season upon us, it’s time to start getting ready to hit the books again. The library is always a great place to get help with your assignments and look up useful information, but did you know that we offer services that can assist you from home, wherever that might be? One that you might find the most useful is Tutor.com! Normally, the service can cost $9 to $13 per hour, but with your library card you can access it completely free! You can find it by heading to our website (www.avalonfreelibrary.org), mousing over “Research” in the menu bar, and then clicking on “Resources”. From there, select “Kids & Teens” and scroll down to and click on “Tutor.com” (or just click here). You will then be asked to enter your library card number and you’re all set! You will probably still want to create a free account with the site at that point, so you can come back to past sessions, and mark specific tutors as favorites, among other benefits. Check out the video below to learn all about the great services the site offers, along with a quick guide to how to use it.
