The Avalon Free Public Library is today launching our new and improved Museum Pass program. Using the MuseumKey service, patrons can now browse, borrow, and print out passes to a variety of museums and cultural institutions from any location with access to the internet and a printer.
To begin, patrons can visit the Library’s Museum Passes page, which can be found from the “Borrow” tab on our website or accessed directly here: https://www2.museumkey.com/ui/?code=avalnj08202. Once there, they can browse the selection by museum or date, select the institution they would like to visit, and then reserve the first available date that appeals to them. Once they’re done, they simply print out the pass and bring it with them on their scheduled date! If you don’t have a printer at home you can visit the library and we will print it for you. Likewise, if you need any help a member of staff will be happy to assist either in person or on the phone at 609-967-7155. A tutorial can also be found here: https://my.nicheacademy.com/avalonfreelibrary/course/77663.
This new service should make the process of borrowing a Museum Pass easier and more convenient for our patrons, while also increasing availability and ensuring patrons can still access the service when they are out of the Avalon area. The available museums and institutions include Cape May MAC, Battleship New Jersey, Historic Cold Spring Village, The MĂĽtter Museum, The Museum of the American Revolution,Wheaton Arts, The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University, and more! We look forward to seeing the response to this offering and hope you all get a lot of value from it!
