RYAN TRAHAN’S I VISITED 50 STATES IN 50 DAYS
Popular YouTuber Ryan Trahan and his wife Haley Pham have set out to stay in the “coolest” Airbnb’s in all 50 states, traveling somewhere new every day, in an effort to raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. They’re actually almost done already and have racked up a very impressive donation total so far, and it’s been a joy watching the couple’s endearingly sweet and humorously corny relationship on the journey. The series works as a quick travelogue with some truly interesting places to stay and as one of the most wholesomely addictive programs of the Summer. – SF

Definitely not under the radar, but if you haven’t made the time for this one and enjoy well paced and plotted detective stories, don’t skip it. DEMON COPPERHEAD BY BARBARA KINGSOLVER
Published in 2022 and co-recipient of the Pulitzer in 2023, this book, written in first person format, is a contemporary take on Charles Dicken’s David Copperfield with incredible character development. Set in what has been described as life in modern Appalachian times, this book has nothing to do with demons, other than humans and life situations that create incredible struggle and anguish for the young protagonist (Damon aka Demon). If you are drawn to contemporary fiction with a strong emotional component, Damon’s struggles will definitely stir your inner well of empathy! – Lynne Florio
