We at the Avalon Free Public Library are always looking for new ways to make sure our patrons are able to access he hottest books and movies when they come out. Our newest initiative is Check It Out Now, a brand new section of the library which has all of the most in-demand material. Here’s what our circulation supervisor Michelle had to say about it:

“Check It Out Now items are books, DVD’s and Blu-Ray’s that have a limited check out period, and are not holdable, renewable or shippable. Since these items are not holdable, a patron will have a chance of walking in to the library and finding a popular title that they are looking for available for immediate check out. Books will go out for 1 week with a $.10 fine assessed for each day the item is late. DVD’s and Blu-Ray’s will go out for 1 night with a $1 fine assessed for each day the item is late. ”
