To access the newspaper, first just click here or access it from our website, under the “Resources” menu in the “Newspapers and Magazines” section. On that page find “Newsbank” in the list, and then select the “Philadelphia Inquirer” link in the description. You may be asked to login, and be presented with fields for your username and password. If this appears, select the option to log in another way, and then enter your library card number in the form that appears. Once you have done that, or if that page didn’t appear for you, on the next screen, choose the 2nd link, marked “2018-Current”, for access to full issues (the 1st link provides access to obituaries). Then select the issue date from the list available or the calendar below that.

An image of the paper will appear in your browser window. You can click and drag to move the image around the screen, or use the controls on the right hand side. These controls can also be used to zoom in and out. The buttons above the paper allow you to search for a topic, navigate to different pages, and share or print pages, among other things. You can also flip through the paper page by page using the arrow buttons at the bottom.

Feel free to stop by the library if you have any additional questions, and enjoy your access to one of America’s most prestigious newspapers!
