At the Holiday Show today in the Avalon Elementary School, Mayor John McCorristin made an appearance to announce the winner of the annual beach tag art competition. For the 2025 beach tags, the honor was awarded to 7th grader Sonia Avetsisiants, whose design features a heron standing in the dunes as the sun rises in the East.
