“Itโ€™s equal parts compelling, ridiculous and uproariously pleasurable, often to the point where you can almost hear director Ridley Scott shouting, ‘Are you not entertained?’โ€ – Emily Zemler,ย Observer

“Like Scottโ€™s filmmaking in this pleasurably immersive spectacle โ€” with its foreign ancients and mentalities, exotic animals and equally unfamiliar calls to human nobility โ€” Washingtonโ€™s performance has skill, intensity and absolute confidence.” – Manohla Dargis,ย New York Times

Red One is a sour sugarplum of a Christmas treat, a cheerfully cynical action comedy for kids โ€” especially the ones who asked Santa Claus for ninja stars and a Nerf gun.” – Amy Nicholson,ย Washington Post

“The challenge is to balance the mayhem with the holly-jolly, to blow stuff up while also allowing troubled characters to find the nice in themselves and in each other, and Red One fulfills both of those wish-list items with a cheeky finesse.” – Alonso Duralde,ย The Film Verdict

Wolf Man

With his marriage to his high-powered wife, Charlotte (Julia Garner), fraying, Blake persuades Charlotte to take a break from the city and visit the property with their young daughter, Ginger (Matlida Firth). But as the family approaches the farmhouse in the dead of night, theyโ€™re attacked by an unseen animal and, in a desperate escape, barricade themselves inside the home as the creature prowls the perimeter. As the night stretches on, however, Blake begins to behave strangely, transforming into something unrecognizable, and Charlotte will be forced to decide whether the terror within their house is more lethal than the danger without.

rated r for bloody violent content, grisly images, and some language.

“As with many great horror tales, Wolf Man is a tragedy at its core. Sure, itโ€™s scary and thrilling but a lot of why this movie really works is because of how sad it is, especially if youโ€™ve ever had to watch a loved one succumb to illness… A rollercoaster ride of a movie that lingers long after itโ€™s over.” – Sean Farrell,ย AFPL Journal

“The risky focus that Leigh Whannell, the filmโ€™s director, puts on the psychological over the physical may alienate some gorehounds, but it makes for an original shocker with subtexts that linger.” – Donald Clarke,ย The Irish Times

“Leigh Whannell has done it again, bringing his talents back to the world of Universal monsters with a worthy update to another horror icon. With solid performances, impressive effects and well choreographed action, Wolf Man may be sappy in places but it wears its tragedy on its sleeve to heartrending effect and balances it out with plenty of scares.” – Becky Darke,ย Total Film

rated r for strong bloody violence, and language.

“It remains ludicrous to the end but itโ€™s never anything less than entertaining.” – Kevin Maher,ย The Times

Kraven The Hunter gets closer than any of its predecessors to understanding the silly, entertaining freedom of shedding continuity. Then again, maybe itโ€™s best that this misbegotten series quits while itโ€™s just-barely ahead.” – Jesse Hassenger,ย AV Club

“Instead of the Kraven you know and loathe, you get the swaggering pelvic thrusts of Aaron Taylor-Johnson posing as every mammal in the animal kingdom as he sadistically murders enemies while chewing up scenery like itโ€™s his job, and this is a compliment.” – Aaron Peterson,ย The Hollywood Outsider

rated r for sexual content, nudity, and some violent content.

“As hilarious as it is heart-wrenching โ€“ frequently within the same scene.” – Wendy Ide,ย Screen Daily

“Mr. Elliotโ€™s script is so rich and gently funny that he could easily have made an excellent live-action feature from it. As it is, though, the animation makes it even more lovable.” – Kyle Smith,ย Wall Street Journal
