County Tolls Going Cashless

Beginning May 10, 2025, the Cape May County Bridge Commission will stop accepting toll payments in coins, cash, or Bridge Tickets. Starting that day, all payments will have to be made using the E-ZPass electronic tolling system or via Toll-by-Plate.

If you already have an E-ZPass tag, make sure to keep it with you while traveling on toll roads and ensure that you have the correct license plate registered to your account. If you do not have one you can sign up online. All of these actions and other account management options are available at www.ezpassnj.com.

If you don’t have or want to sign up for E-ZPass you can instead pay your toll by mail. When you pass through a tollbooth, a photo of your license plate will be taken and the bill will be mailed to the address on file.

Since the Bridge Ticket program will be coming to an end, the County will buy back unused tickets for $1.20 each, which is the last price they were offered at. If you would like to sell your tickets complete the form located here and return it along with the tickets either in person or by mail to: Cape May County Bridge Commission, 4 Moore Road, Cape May Court House, NJ, 08210.

Questions should be directed to the Commission at 609-465-7806 or kerri.may@co.cape-may.nj.us.
