This past weekend, one of Avalon’s last few Victorian homes was on its way out of town. To save the structure from the wrecking ball, the grandchildren of one-time owners came together to get it relocated and it has now been disassembled and hauled to a storage facility where it will spend up to 4 months waiting for a new plot of land to be found. The Avalon History Center staff spotted the roof sitting in the Community Hall parking lot and had to take some pictures to share with you all here.
