Most years, yard waste collection in the Borough of Avalon skips Thanksgiving Day and takes place the following Friday instead. This year however, the Borough’s garbage contractor has opted to maintain their typical schedule and collect it on Thanksgiving morning. So, if you have any leaves or other yard waste that you need to dispose of, make sure to place it at the curb in a container with a lid by November 28th!
