The Museum of Cape May County is asking members of the community to submit any recipes they have which have been passed down from the community’s earliest residents. Recipes from the area’s historic and landmark restaurants would be especially appreciated! The goal is to publish a book of that will tell the culinary history of the County.
They ask that you don’t send the original copies, as they will be unable to return them. Instead, photocopy, scan, or transcribe the recipe including its name, the original author, and the date it was created (approximates are fine). If you have personal information, stories, or context to accompany the recipe, make sure to include them! Recipes must have their origins in Cape May County and must be received by Friday, March 21st.
You can send them by mail to: CMCH, 504 Route 9 N., Cape May, NJ, 08251 or email them to cmchgsmuseum@gmail.com. For more information, use that email or call 609-465-3535. And if you don’t have a photocopier or scanner, stop by the library and use ours!
