Looking for something to watch, read, play, or do this weekend? We’ve got you covered! Check out this week’s recommendations!

Wake Up Dead Man
If you didn’t get out to see the latest Knives Out mystery when it was in theaters, don’t miss it now that it’s on Netflix. In my original review I stated, “Once again, Johnson proves that smart storytelling can be both entertaining and thought-provoking, leaving audiences smiling, moved, and eager for more.” If you enjoyed the first two (part one is available here at the Library), do yourself a favor and check this one out! – Sean Farrell

Tales Well Told: Seasonal Surprise
Michèle LaRue will be at the Avalon History Center this Saturday at 2pm for another Tales Well Told presentation. Focusing on Holiday stories, LaRue will perform Stephen Leacock’s “Hoodoo McFiggin’s Christmas,” O. Henry’s “A Chaparral Christmas Gift” and Mary E. Wilkins Freeman’s “The Balsam Fir” amid the History Center’s gorgeous decorations. It promises to be a seasonal treat that you won’t want to miss! – SF

Art of Fauna
Assemble beautifully illustrated artworks from the 18th and 19th centuries featuring myriad animal species in this relaxing but challenging puzzle game. Slide tiles around the screen to complete the pictures and then flip the finished image over to learn a little about the creature represented. Nature and puzzle lovers alike will be charmed. – SF

Everyone In the Group Chat Dies by L.M. Chilton
Are you looking for fun, creepy thriller to read this holiday season? Do you detest group text messages? Then we have just the book for you! With heaps of advance praise and positive comparisons to Only Murders in the Building and Bodies, Bodies, Bodies, this could be just what you need when you’re looking for a few moments away from the family. – SF
