The Avalon Garden Club will be holding their annual Plant and Bake Sale this weekend. The event will take place on Saturday, May 4th from 8am to 3pm and on Sunday, May 5th from 10am to 1pm, at the Avalon Greenhouse located on 39th Street next to the Avalon History Center.
Visitors can choose from a variety of flowers, herbs, and vegetables as well as hanging baskets and patio pots. This year’s sale will be focusing on native plants and their role in water conservation, environmental preservation, and butterfly migration. Don’t forget that there will be a host of delicious baked goods for sale as well. You may even spot some of us from the library while you’re there!
Payments must be made in cash or check, and more information about the event and the Garden Club can be found at avalongardenclub.org.
