Whether you want to spend your weekend outside, at the movies, or in the kitchen, we’ve got something for you in this week’s round-up!

The Devil Wears Prada 2
20 years after the original movie charmed over $300 million out of audiences worldwide, most of the cast are back for more high fashion hijinks. Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci all reprise their roles as the staff of the fictionalย Runway magazine and the clever quips look to be every bit as sharp as the looks. With 3 original songs by Lady Gaga (who also makes a cameo), expect at least one Oscar nomination next year. – Sean Farrell

Obsessed with the Best by Ella Quittner
If youโve ever wondered โwhatโs the best way to make this?โ, you should check out Obsessed with the Best, a fun and engaging new cookbook by Ella Quittner. Built around more than 20 cooking experiments, it includes dozens of recipes that have been tested, tweaked, and refinedโfrom roast chicken and biscuits to pancakes and shortbread.
What makes it stand out is how it brings you into her process. Quittner doesnโt just hand you a recipeโshe shows how she got there, exploring how small changes in ingredients or technique can change the outcome. Itโs part cookbook, part kitchen experiment, and a very engaging read.
This is a great choice for cooks and bakers who like to learn as they go and understand the โwhyโ behind what theyโre making. Note – a number of the recipes are too involved for a quick weeknight dinner or baking project (at least for me!), but were still fun to learn from. – Erin Brown

Widow’s Bay
One-timeย Parks and Recreation writer Katie Dippold is behind Apple TV’s latest original seriesย Widow’s Bay. Melding clever comedy with Stephen King vibes, it’s one of the more intriguing debuts of the year and has so far been earning near-universal acclaim from critics, with Lucy Mangan ofย The Guardian saying the show “is rich and wonderful. Grownup, funny, scary, true โ Mare of Easttown meets Schittโs Creek, but with something else that makes it singular.” – SF

Cape May Renaissance Faire
Somewhat surprisingly, Cape May County has never hosted a ren faire before (at least not to my knowledge). That changes this weekend however at the 4H Fairgrounds in Cape May Court House. Featuring a large variety of performers and vendors, it looks pretty impressive for a first-time event, and while there is a slight chance of rain on Saturday, it looks like it shouldn’t be bad enough to dampen the fun, while Sunday looks to be pretty decent all around. I’ll definitely be checking it out so maybe I’ll see you there! – SF

“Bring Your Love” by Madonna & Sabrina Carpenter
The queen of pop is back with a 90’s-house-influenced track that sees her teaming up with one of pop’s current princesses, Sabrina Carpenter. The club-ready beats perfectly compliment the catchy melodies as Madge once again reminds us that she knows how to write a hook while unusual flourishes sprinkled throughout highlight her tendency to keep things just a little weird. I’ve been a fan for as long as I can remember so I’m at least a little bit biased, but this is already likely to be my “song of the summer” for 2026. – SF
